Paul Creedon, Biography
Paul is an award-winning artist from New Canaan, CT trained
at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY where he received a Bachelor of Fine
Arts, Summa Cum Laude, after only 2 years of accelerated study. He went on to take
several more classes at Parsons School of Design in New York, NY. Paul also has
a BA in history from Boston University and was staff illustrator for Bostonia
magazine at the time. He is married and works on his art full time at his home
where he is supervised by a Siamese cat named Fiona and herded when necessary
by his Shetland Sheepdog, Sydney. Pastel is his preferred medium.
October 2011 Paul had a Solo Show at the Beardsley Gallery in Wilton, CT. Pastels such as “Three Apples” still life sold at the show. Other shows include the juried “Spectrum 2011” art show in
New Canaan, CT. from Sunday, May 1st through June 12th in the Betty Barker Gallery,
Carriage Barn Arts Center, Waveny Park. Also
“Art in the Windows” in downtown New Canaan, CT. where had two Paul Creedon pastels
in the window of Odesmith & Richards at 3 South Avenue. It ended May 22nd.
As an exhibiting member at Rowayton Arts Center,
Rowayton, CT. Paul’s “Orange and Copper” still life won second place for pastels
in the “Beyond Brushes” show that ended Feb. 27th, 2011. One of his still life
pastels was accepted into the “Mavis Fenner Memorial—All Media Juried Show”
that ran through Nov. 7th, 2010.
Paul Creedon exhibited a pastel landscape in the Wilton
Library’s tree-themed exhibit that ended Nov. 28th, 2010. He had a pastel in several “Member’s Shows” of
the New Canaan Society for the Arts including one this Fall.
Paul had 4 still life pastels on exhibit in the “2009 Spring
Show” at Rockwell Art and Framing, which is located in New Canaan, CT.
Paul sells his work through his wife and agent, Patricia Creedon and through the website, Artsyhome.com. His work is in many private collections.
